Kent Davis is an Industrial Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Business Executive Leadership. Davis has spent 25 years in manufacturing, including industries such as Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Metals and Plastics Manufacturing. Davis has held positions ranging from Engineering to Business Executive Leadership. Davis has worked in and with international business markets, organizational change management, strategic leadership, asset stewardship and Industry 4.0. Davis has worked in the public sector and private as well, supporting manufacturing through Operational Excellence and Manufacturing Reliability, including asset stewardship, asset refresh, and capital investments. Davis has spent time in in Europe and Germany helping OEM’s on new products to support several different manufacturing platforms. Davis has also been associated with the reversal of pipeline gas flow, construction of 35 miles of a natural gas pipeline header that takes in additional natural gas sources from multiple customers, and construction of multiple natural gas compressor stations that delivers natural gas to Freeport LNG in Freeport Texas for export of natural gas. Davis has also constructed two greenfield manufacturing facilities in Paris Texas. One of which was plastics manufacturing, the other a steel pipe manufacturing facility.
Kent is a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt and has helped multiple organizations in successful implementations of LSS strategies and is now helping develop the future of new Mechanical Engineers by providing them the opportunity to learn business, R&D, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Therefore, giving back to the future of the American manufacturing systems in the United States.
In 2023, Davis was mentioned in the article “Improving Efficiency Through Automation with SCADA,” published in Control Engineering Magazine due to the design, construction, and implementation of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems within American SpiralWeld Pipe Company. Therefore, machine connectivity (Industry 4.0) driving real-time data acquisition reflecting downtime, uptime, OEE, Quality, and Process Control attributes to ensure manufacturing is performing at its peek efficiency. Therefore, driving increase in productivity and marginally higher quality of product than American’s competitors in the marketplace.
Emily Fruth is a 2022 graduate of Austin College with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in environmental studies and art. During her time as an undergraduate, Fruth conducted laboratory and field research alongside professors and peers. From this research Fruth has published two scientific papers related to hibernation in major scientific journals. Fruth was also involved in many extracurriculars during her studies where she held many leadership positions such as Sophomore and Junior Class Representative, Budget and Finance Committee Chair, Secretary, Apparel Chair, and Service Chair in the Sigma Phi Chi Sorority.
Fruth also maintained a positions throughout her undergraduate studies where she gained experience in sales, marketing, customer satisfaction and communication under a major clothing retailer. After graduation, Fruth went on to work in animal care in a small zoo and in childcare while returning back to school to complete a Master’s in Biology with an emphasis in Education.
